I've been annoying Bailey about Orelvis & Gelof dating back to last season lol. I had a need at MI, so getting Gelof fills the void there... plenty of things I like, from what I've seen thus far, from Gelof... hoping he can be more consistent. Orelvis just intrigues me in general... as I told Bailey, my gut tells me he's worth investment. It's ballsy trusting the same gut that tells me "nah, eat the jalapeños... it'll be fine...", but here I am. Rice is young enough.. solid milb numbers... could use him at CI, and maybe he regains C eligibility. Losing Meyer hurts... but as you've seen previously, I'm targeting offense over rotation right now.

Jonathon is right that we’ve been discussing these names for quite some time haha. This trade fits my offseason goal of chipping away at my active roster size while resupplying my minor league roster. I have some level of attachment to all these players, having seen the majority of them down in FL, and drafting Rushing in the 2nd round of our FYPD a couple years ago. I may regret moving this trio of hitters, but I am excited to get my first share of Meyer, while also being reunited with Rushing.
