Corey Seager, SS, Texas Rangers ($23,000,000 2025-2027)
Nolan Jones, OF, Colorado Rockies ($500,000 2025-2027)
David Bednar, RP, Pittsburgh Pirates ($500,000 2025)

I had inquired about these players and we eventually worked out this trade. Seager immediately becomes my offensive cornerstone, Jones goes into my starting lineup, and I hope that Bednar bounces back and maintains the closer role. I am nervous about giving up this much young talent, but I hope to contend in 2026 and 2027.

I posted a trade block, Rod reach out with some names, I made him an offer, and after some productive back and forth we arrived at this deal. This is now the 7th time Pepiot has been traded in this league, with 3 of those trades involving me - happy to reacquire him as the headliner here. Corey Seager is a cornerstone player with his accolades speaking for themselves. However, given his contract, I feel that I have amassed enough middle infield depth to move him in a trade like this. Jones and Bednar are intriguing rebound candidates, but I am looking to trim my active roster size, so the trio of Matthews, Guerrero, and Rincones was intriguing enough for me make this move.
