Windy City agreed to trade:
     Josh Naylor, 1B (CLE) - ‘24: $0.5M
     Eloy Jiménez, OF (CWS) - ‘24: $0.5M
     Luis García, P (HOU) - ‘24-‘25: $0.5M
to the Red Sox of Chicago for:
     Edwin Diaz, P (NYM) - ‘24-‘28: $18.5M
     Estevan Florial, OF (CLE) - prospect
     Starlyn Núñez, SS (BOS) - prospect
     2025 Draft 10th round draft pick

Windy City Logic: Acquiring Diaz completes my bullpen. The cost of doing that requires some good offensive firepower, but I have enough cap space to replace what I’m losing on Free Agency. I have quite a few contracts expiring after this year so that helps clear some of the logjam. I think with steady playing time Florial could be close to what Eloy provides now. He should get that opportunity in Cleveland. Nunez is farther away but has exciting potential. Thanks to Jason for good dealings.

RedSox agree with this trade. I been trying to get Naylor for a long time, and Jimenez will help my outfield. Garcia might not really help till next year. Good Luck Brandon

For the record this is a completely balanced trade and I like both sides of the package, but I feel compelled to point out that it leaves Brandon with Edwin Diaz alongside Hader, Abreu and Pressly in one of the filthiest bullpens in DD history

Whilst I'm tempted to block the trade on that basis, I'm too afraid of the Dbacks logo so trade approved and processed

I didn’t want to say it in my reasoning, but I agree. Haha. At least on paper.
