Windy City agrees to trade:
     MacKenzie Gore, P (SDP) - prospect
     Blaine Crim, 1B (TEX) - prospect
     2022 August Minors Claim
     2023 Draft 3rd Round Pick
to the Baltimore Braves for:
     Cavan Biggio, UT (TOR) - '22-'24: $0.5M
     Carter Kieboom, 3B (WAS) - '22-'24: $0.5M

Windy City Logic:  While I am not a fan of losing Gore, I think last year really tempered expectations for him. He might go on to have a great career, and I might be selling low, but I like the return with him as the centerpiece going to Baltimore. Crim is an intriguing prospect, but he put up his big numbers at 24 in High A. Not a bad showing at AA, but there was a significant drop off across his 139 AB (compared to 270 in A+). Plus, with the depth I have at 1B in the minors, I was comfortable moving him. I think Kieboom and Biggio are similar players (decent OBP with some steals and a little pop), but Kieboom slots in at 3B and Biggio's versatility is a huge plus. Overall a nice deal for both sides. Great working with Chris on this.

I'm definitely buying in to a Gore bounce back here, hopefully he gets ample time to figure it out, hate to lose Biggio for the simple reason that I like his versatility, Kieboom is a case of holding to long, while I still think he has a ton of potential I think his luster has worn off, Crim is intriguing for me being a Rangers fan, i've followed him this last year and he can hit, hopefully this year is his breakout, Brandon adding in the claim and pick closed it for me! thanks to Brandon and GL!
